I have always been a fan of antique homes. I love the quaint furniture and the historical feel it brings into a room. However, sometimes I feel that too many antiques make a home more like a museum. I feel that you should add a modern twist to liven up your humble abode. For example, throw in a crazy lamp, colorful rug, or an abstract painting to bring the room out of the dark ages. I would want a home that is beautiful but still feels like I can actually live in it. I think that is the most important thing in interior design, making a beautiful place that a person can feel comfortable living in.
